The Artist's Way: Creativity Recovery Circle

“No matter what your age or your life path, whether making art is your career or your hobby or your dream, it is not too late or too egotistical or too selfish or too silly to work on your creativity.” So writes Julia Cameron, creativity recovery maven and author of The Artist’s Way – A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity. If you yourself long to feel more artistically expressive and are in need of a safe, supportive, nurturing community of similar-minded people in order to help you grow, please join us every other Tuesday evening as we read about and put into practice the time-tested principles set forth in Julia’s book. A comprehensive program designed to recover your creative potential from a variety of blocks, The Artist’s Way links creativity to spirituality by showing how to tap into the higher power that connects human creativity to the Divine.  Beginning September 13, the group will meet from 6:30-8:30pm on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month in Room 104, concluding March 28. Participants will each need their own copy of The Artist Way, as well as a notebook for journaling. The text is available for $12 (payable to BUMC). This group is not limited to a single form of creative expression – all are welcome! Contact group leader Michelle Howard at for details!
