We have a thriving Equipping Ministry here at BUMC. Some of the ways we are reaching out include:

  • Adult ESL Classes
  • Tying blankets for the homeless. We are also always collecting blankets and clothing for the homeless population.
  • Wheels to Worship - we provide rides to those who wish to worship with us on Sundays!
We work with organizations such as:

Click here for a list of local food banks!
  • Since 2008, BUMC has partnered with Global Hope Network International (GHNI) to assist with development efforts in the Kenyan village of Gambella.
  • Disaster Response: BUMC not only gives to disaster relief through the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), but also does hands-on projects to help! In February & March of 2010, our congregation assembled Health Relief Kits that were sent to Haiti after the earthquake.
  • A portion of all giving at BUMC goes to the general church to support programs on a national and international level. These programs have been agreed upon by lay and clergy delegates of the United Methodist General Conference.

Check out the United Methodist Church's website for more information about how your giving is making a difference all over the world!
