The Kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field; and this is smaller than all other seeds, but when it is full grown, it is larger than all the garden plants, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches. (Matthew 13:31-32)
The mustard seed is tiny, and yet when it is planted and watered, it grows into an amazing plant. So it is with God’s work in our lives. As we follow Christ’s commands, and nurture the seeds God has planted within us, his kingdom grows within us, and we more and more reflect the nature of Christ. But it is important to walk in God’s direction, to walk the path of Christ, to cooperate with God’s Spirit. So, have you ever wondered what the most frequently cited commands in the New Testament happen to be? In this series, you’ll discover the top six New Testament commandments. They pop up all over the place, and these commands are the building blocks of love. They give us a concrete picture of what it means to love God and to love your neighbor. They show us how to build a life of love, one brick at a time. So join us and look at Christian living in a whole new way!
