Executive Ministry Assistant 

Broomfield United Methodist Church has an opening for an Executive Ministry Assistant. This position is 30 hours per week M-F, with some night and weekend hours expected for events.


  • Directly support the lead pastor, ministry teams and administration
  • Support all areas of preparation for worship as needed
  • Coordinate baptism classes, reception and processing of new members
  • Manage and maintain church membership database
  • Serve as host for memorials, scheduling pastors, sound technicians, musicians/vocalists, equipment and space. This includes working closely with the families, mortuaries, florists and UMW (for receptions) and facilities staff.
  • Serve as a welcoming resource and backup for all areas of ministry, staff, members and guests within the Church.
  • Plan and execute Consecration Sunday activities in conjunction with the Director of Business Administration.




Proficient in:

MS Office, including MS Word, MS Outlook, Excel, Publisher and Power Point

Fax, scan, large volume printing and copying technology


Work as a willing team member


Superior organizational skills

Strong problem-solving skills

Excellent communication skills

Early Childhood Assistant

Broomfield United Methodist Church has an opening for a qualified part-time (5-6 hours per week through August, then 10 hrs per week) Early Childhood Assistant, who will oversee activities of our Early Childhood Ministries to ensure the physical and spiritual well-being of our infants and toddlers (primarily), but also for all ages up through 5th grade on occasion as necessary. 

This position works within the vision of Family Ministries to provide a warm and loving Christian childcare and learning environment for children infant – 5th grade, parents and caregivers. This position also teams with the Director of Family Ministries and Family Ministries Program Coordinator to provide excellent hospitality to all children and families on Sunday mornings and at ministry events.  

Responsibilities Include:

Early childhood staff and volunteers - recruit, hire, train, schedule and oversee qualified childcare staff members and volunteers to provide quality care and programming for children on Sundays and throughout the week. Enforce a standard of early childhood ministry policies, for security, safety, hygiene and expectations.

Ministry – Work with the Family Ministries leadership staff to provide curriculum for the infant, toddler and two year old rooms.

Facility – Monitor and inspect early childhood rooms for cleanliness and safety, necessary supplies and resources.


Detailed knowledge of church processes and procedures and the various religious observations of the Methodist faith. A welcoming spirit and desire to invest in children and their faith journey through bible lessons and activities. Proven experience as a supervisor and ability to work as a team leader and team member. Warm and engaging personality when interfacing with parents, children, childcare staff, and small group leaders. Preferred valid CPR, First Aid and Medicine Administration certifications. Availability to work Sundays, Easter and Christmas Eve.
