It’s an outrageous proposition: God says, “Follow me beyond what you control, beyond where your skill set can take you, beyond the applause of onlookers—and you will fully experience me.” When we hear this claim we wonder, "What does this really mean?" I believe it means two things.
First, we all sort of doubt God will show up the way we need God to do so. We all would rather reduce the risk of humiliation, where we don’t take shallow breaths of desperation. In other words, why involve ourselves in someone else’s life? Second, if we decide not to involve ourselves in the lives of others, are we denying God an opportunity to enrich us with his presence? I say, “Yes!” Why be God-impoverished when we have an option to be enriched with God?
Join us in October to answer these questions and be a part of a great expedition to share Christ’s love with his world.
